The country legend has announced the upcoming release of "A Holly Dolly Christmas," her first holiday album in 30 years. The album will include original songs, holiday classics and duets with stars including Willie Nelson, Jimmy Fallon, Michael Bublé and her goddaughter, Miley Cyrus. According to her website, the first single from the album will be “Cuddle Up, Cozy Down Christmas," a duet with Bublé.Parton also chose to duet with Nelson on his song, "Pretty Paper," and will sing a cover of Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You," with Fallon. Along with a special song with her brother, Randy Parton, the album also includes five original songs."I have recorded several Christmas classics like ‘Holly Jolly Christmas,' as well as some new material that I hope might become Christmas classics," Parton said in a news release. “I figured since everybody probably wouldn’t get to celebrate Christmas as usual this year, I wanted to be creative instead of sitting around at the house this summer. So I put on my mask, gloves and practiced social distancing, as well as all of the wonderful musicians and singers, and we proceeded to put together what I think is some of the best work that I’ve ever done."Some other familiar tunes on the album include "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus," and "Mary, Did You Know?" "A Holly Dolly Christmas" is scheduled for release Oct. 2.
