Kentucky National Guard soldiers have provided Hurricane Katrina relief since the weekend. I've never experienced anything like this. I think overall it's it's made us realize how lucky and how fortunate we are. And so far they say the people of the Gulf Coast have welcomed them to their devastated region. Air Fantastic, very respectful. They're very grateful to have us here. It's OK. I just want to see your soldiers. Ah, region. The head of the Kentucky National Guard wanted to see himself From my 36 years of military service, I have never seen the devastation so great. While there he visited troops all along the Gulf Coast, hearing stories of conditions improving for troops. Morale is really good. Rick Ross. We started eating memories and warm water. Uh, no showers. For the first few days that has changed and compassion for those victims of Hurricane Katrina still waiting for their situation to improve, trying to express them that, you know, they're in our thoughts. They're in our prayers. Basically, just trying Teoh convey the message that you're not in this alone, that we're in this together, doing a great job and trying to distribute food and water. It's just so many people were affected
